- And the beauty of apologizing is it is not conditional on one accepting the apology nor a response. If he was, in fact, sincere then he should be just as satisfied without your reply! Being forgiven should not be the center of apologizing. I hope he has changed his behavior. Even if you do forgive him, it doesn’t require you to reconcile with him anyway. It’s not your problem to know anymore if he’s changed his behavior. I hope he had.
